Douglas Trojans Softball 17-19 Rogue River

Offense came in bunches Thursday afternoon, but Douglas softball couldn't quite keep pace in a wild 19-17 loss to visiting Rogue River at home. The Trojans put up 17 runs in what became an instant classic of back-and-forth softball, with both teams combining for 36 runs in a non-league thriller that kept fans on their feet throughout.

Douglas showed tremendous fight in the high-scoring affair, matching Rogue River nearly run for run in a game that featured multiple lead changes and clutch hitting from both sides.
