North Douglas Warriors Baseball 3-6 West Salem

West Salem handed North Douglas its first loss of the baseball season Thursday afternoon, winning 6-3 at North Douglas High School in non-league action. The Warriors entered the game undefeated but couldn't solve the Titans' offense in what became a back-and-forth affair.
North Douglas managed three runs against West Salem but ultimately fell short as the visiting Titans pulled away for the victory. The loss drops the Warriors to 3-1 on the young season, ending their perfect start to 2026.
Despite the setback, North Douglas has shown strong early-season form with three wins before Thursday's contest. The Warriors demonstrated they can compete with quality opponents from larger schools, keeping pace with West Salem through much of the game.
The non-league loss shouldn't significantly impact North Douglas' league championship hopes, but it provides valuable experience against tough competition. The Warriors will look to bounce back and return to their winning ways as they continue building toward the postseason. North Douglas next takes the field looking to start a new winning streak.
