Douglas Trojans Softball 3-16 North Bend

North Bend's offense proved too much for Douglas to handle Monday afternoon, as the Trojans suffered a 16-3 softball defeat on the road. The loss drops Douglas to 2-3 on the season in what turned into a challenging non-league matchup.
The Bulldogs jumped out to an early advantage and never looked back, building a commanding lead that Douglas couldn't overcome despite managing to put three runs on the board. North Bend's balanced attack kept the Trojans on their heels throughout the contest, making it difficult to establish any sustained momentum.
While the final score was lopsided, Douglas showed resilience by continuing to compete and finding ways to manufacture runs even when trailing by a significant margin. The non-league format provided valuable experience against different competition as the Trojans work to develop their identity this spring.
Douglas will look to bounce back and get back to .500 when they return to action later this week. The Trojans have shown they can compete effectively this season and will aim to apply lessons learned from this tough road test.
