Beau Ramsey scattered six hits over seven dominant innings as the Riverhawks delivered a statement 5-0 shutout victory over Chemeketa in conference baseball action Tuesday at home.

Ramsey struck out five batters while walking just one, keeping the Storm off balance throughout his outing. The right-hander worked efficiently, allowing baserunners in five different innings but never letting Chemeketa mount a serious scoring threat.

The Riverhawks jumped on Chemeketa starter Jack Klee early, plating two runs in the first inning and adding three more in the second to build a comfortable 5-0 cushion. Jaxon Marble drove in two runs despite going 1-for-4, while Taylor Davis contributed one RBI and scored twice. Tristan Schaefer reached base in all three plate appearances, going 2-for-2 with a walk and crossing the plate once.

Shiloh Wilson added two hits and an RBI for the Riverhawks, who collected nine hits as a team. For Chemeketa, Kyle Sheller and Wyatt Hooper each managed two hits, but the Storm couldn't capitalize with runners in scoring position.

Hayden Kindreich and Josh Jackson combined for two scoreless innings of relief to preserve the shutout. The victory improves the Riverhawks to 17-9 overall as they continue building momentum in conference play.

The Riverhawks will look to carry this dominant pitching performance into their next conference matchup.
