UCC Riverhawks Baseball 3-2 Chemeketa

After falling behind 2-0 in the first inning, the UCC Riverhawks chipped away methodically to defeat Chemeketa 3-2 on the road Thursday in a conference baseball battle that showcased both teams' pitching depth.

The early deficit didn't rattle the Riverhawks, who answered with single runs in the second, fourth, and seventh innings to complete the comeback. Trevor Ratliff led the offensive charge, going 2-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI from the designated hitter spot. Taylor Davis also collected two hits, going 2-for-4 from shortstop to help keep rallies alive.

The story of the game belonged to pitcher Ty Hellenthal, who delivered a masterful complete-game performance to earn the win. The right-hander scattered five hits over seven innings while allowing zero earned runs and striking out two.
